Dress Code

In order to maintain a level of professionalism and cleanliness, Rob Roy Academy has a mandatory dress code policy. Dress code must be followed or students will be dismissed from class.

Cosmetology and Manicuring Students

A black Rob Roy Academy smock must be worn at all times, with Solid black pants or skirts. Any color shirt is acceptable.

Esthetics Students and Barbering Students

White Rob Roy Academy smock must be worn at all times. Solid black pants or skirts and any color shirt are acceptable.

All Students

Shorts and skirts must be of professional length, which is no shorter than three inches above the knee. Women must wear nylons or tights with skirts and must wear socks with shorts. Men must wear socks with shorts. Spandex pants or tight leggings are acceptable but must be worn with a top that is no shorter than five inches above the knee. Nylons or socks must be worn with pants. No sleeveless shirts, underarms must be covered. No off the shoulder tops or cropped tops allowed (no midriff showing). Shoes must also be clean and either white or black. Sneakers are acceptable and recommended. Shoes must cover the entire foot. Sandals, or any open toe or heal are not acceptable. Nametags are part of the uniform and are distributed on the first day of class and must be worn at all times.

  • Hats of any kind are not acceptable while in classrooms or clinics.
  • Pagers, Cellular phones and CD/MP3 players are not allowed during school hours.
